Demo: aidev installs an MCP server, a skill and an agent into Claude Code, writing each one to the folder that tool reads, then rolls the last install back. Click the terminal to type your own aidev command.
or click the terminal and type aidev search postgres
Copilot, Claude Code and Codex read agents, skills and MCP config from different places, in different formats. aidev knows all of them, so you type the same thing everywhere.
~/your-project $ aidev install <name>one command, three very different results:.github/agents/<name>.agent.md.github/skills/<name>/SKILL.md.github/prompts/<name>.prompt.md.github/instructions/<name>.instructions.md.vscode/mcp.json.claude/agents/<name>.md.claude/skills/<name>/SKILL.md.mcp.json.agents/skills/<name>/SKILL.md.codex/config.tomlThe boring parts of sharing AI setups, handled for you.
Every install lists what it needs, like file access, shell commands or network calls, and waits for your yes.
aidev saves a rollback point before it touches a file. One command puts them back.
.aidev-lock.json pins versions and hashes. A teammate runs aidev install and gets exactly what you have.
Commands speak --json and return documented exit codes, so Claude Code or Codex can search and install on their own.
aidev update asks before it applies a major version.
aidev scans every listing for risky patterns like curl | bash, and marks imported ones as not reviewed.
Private hubs for your team, with approved resources and policies that block what you don’t allow.
aidev publish validates a folder and gives it a page, a version and an install command.
aidev adds its own marked block and leaves the rest of your file alone.
